About us

Who We Are

Bringers of Joy Education Centre was established in 2004 to cater to needy children within
Mathare North slum area. This initiative originated from a group of local women who
recognized that a good number of children from poor families and others orphaned by
HIV/AIDs pandemic, were not attending school due to lack of school fees, school uniforms,
books, and other necessities, to enable them to attend school.

In order to entice these poor children to attend school, and give them joy, a feeding
the program was started as an incentive to bring them to a learning center that bore Bringers of Joy Education Centre.
